Wellbeing Wednesday Holiday Club 2019

Wellbeing wednesday holiday clubs - young people

A holiday club with a difference: on a farm and all for your wellbeing (which is already within you!).

The club is for young people (aged 12-16) and takes place on Wednesdays during the school holidays.

It's a place to make new friends and for you to be yourself. If you like to speak in a group, you can speak, and if you’d prefer to stay quiet, that’s ok too. You will be welcome just as you are.

The activities on offer will include:

  • Being in nature and outdoors;

  • Spending time with animals

  • Getting involved in some farm jobs

  • Art and craft activities

  • Cooking

  • Enjoying lunch together as a group;

  • And anything else that takes our fancy when we’re together as a group!

The group can either be formed of individuals (so you can come on your own) or you can get some friends together and come as a pair or a group. The group size will be 6 people.

£45 per person, includes all activities and lunch.

In the group sessions I’ve been to, I have made friendships that have continued outside the farm, I have made memories of feeding lambs, laughing whilst cooking the most delicious lunches and have come away from every day with a sense of happiness, contentment and inspiration.

Young women’s retreat days

This is a special day for young women (aged 11-15) to take some time for themselves. It is a safe space for them to make new friends and to be themselves.

The retreat day is based on our small-holding farm, taking place outside and in our special Wellbeing Room. The day gives young women a chance to connect with each other, with nature and with themselves.

We will take time to get to know each other, do arts and crafts, be outdoors, take care of the animals and enjoy some team activities around the farm. We also prepare lunch together and enjoy a shared meal.

The aim of the day is to give the young women a chance to slow down and take time for themselves in a mindful, gentle and loving way. In our groups, it's ok to speak up and to stay quiet; you are welcome here just as you are.

The day costs £45 per person, which includes all activities and lunch.

Innate Connection is a place very near to my heart and one where I can be completely myself and feel safe and comfortable doing so. Not only do we learn about the animals, understand where our food for that day comes from and make genuine connections, we also learn about ourselves. Whether that’s through art, conversations, time alone but in a group, we’re invited to find those parts of ourselves we don’t always pay attention to in an environment that’s comforting, restful and cosy.

school and home ed groups

School and home-ed groups are welcome to get in touch to ask about provision available to them. I offer Farm Wellbeing sessions over full and half days as well as shorter sessions of 90 minutes. The school and home-ed groups match the wholesome activities and nurturing approach taken on Wellbeing Wednesday Holiday Clubs (see above).

family farm and wellbeing retreat days

Family retreat days are a magical way for you to spend quality time as a family. Families will have time to enjoy the animals, outdoors and food together, having everything planned and thought about by me! You’ll get to embrace the rhythm of farm life and fully immerse yourself in activities together.

The family retreat days include:

  • Enjoying the outdoor space on the farm

  • Arts and crafts

  • Collecting the eggs

  • Feeding the pigs

  • Baking

  • Enjoying lunch together. Where we can, we will pick food from the farm and include that in our lunch as well.

The whole day will be tailored to your needs and wishes, so families can let me know which activities really interest their family and make sure we do those. We generally take the days at a gentle pace, giving you the space to slow down and really enjoy the moments.

A full family day retreat day, 11:00am-5:00pm costs £300 and a half-day would be 2:00pm-5:00pm and would be £150.
