Hi, I’m Vicky and I’m so grateful that you are here! This page tells you more about me; I hope it resonates with you.

About five years ago, I began my own journey into wellbeing, exploring my own feelings and beginning to discover who I really am. In parallel to this, I was working as a teacher and adored the pastoral aspect of my teaching role, helping children with their confidence, resilience and self-esteem. As part of my professional development as a teacher, I was then trained in coaching, an approach I began using with the children in my classes to draw out the potential already within them. This is now my full-time role: coaching others to enable them to connect with all the amazingness within them!

My personal wellbeing journey began with a belief, that appeared solid and true, that I wasn’t good enough. This drove me to work harder and harder, be nicer and nicer, and do anything in order to gain the external approval I believed I needed in order to feel good enough. But…it didn’t work.

The buzz I got from the initial recognition from others would be short-lived, so I’d turn again to the next thing I could do to feel better. I stayed on a wheel of searching for happiness or a sense of validation for a while...

...until two massive insights changed my life:

Firstly, I saw deeply that I was complete and whole already: that there was nothing to change or fix about who I really was. And secondly, that just because I thought something, it didn’t make it true.

As I continued to explore more about these insights for myself, I saw that they must be true for everyone. It became clear to me that every child, indeed every person, held within them all the confidence and resilience they could ever need. My work is now to journey alongside people whilst they wake up to this within themselves.

Philosophy

At Innate Connection, clients are connected with the innate resources that reside within them. I truly believe that wellbeing is at the core of us all and that a deep sense of peace, security, balance and self-worth is possible for everyone. The philosophy that underpins the work I do is that no-one is broken or needs fixing: at their core, everyone is complete and whole already. Everyone has the natural creativity and capacity to solve problems in a unique way and to find their own way to navigate their life.
